Funeral Services for Lois O’Nell Martin Kapp, 85, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at McClendon Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA, with Dr. Kevin Stewart and Dr. James Gardner officiating. Private family Interment will follow in Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens Cemetery in West Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service on Tuesday.
Lois was born February 9, 1939, in Crowville, LA, to M.J. and Loleta Martin and passed away March 16, 2024, in West Monroe, LA.
Lois was a wonderful grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities. She loved gardening. Her Saturday nights were spent watching the Gaithers and her favorite Irish singer, Daniel O’Donnell. Lois had a special place in her heart for her church choir and Sunday school class, the Waldrop Class. Lois adored her cat, Socks. She was a caring soul who loved her family deeply but most of all she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Wilson Kapp, Jr.; her parents, M.J. and Loleta Martin; her brothers, James N. Martin and John Paul Martin; sister, Lillian Laverne Martin; and her son, Charles Martin Winters.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Vanessa Winters Tolar (Phil) and Wendy Kapp Cranford (Wayne); her son, Clyde Wilson Kapp, III (Carolyn); her sister, Linda Martin Greer (Jimmy); granddaughters, Hannah Tolar Donaldson (Lee), Lauren Elizabeth Kapp, Sidney Winters Hendry (Matthew), Anna Cranford Pearce (Luke), and Madison Brooke Winters; grandsons, Joshua Phillip Tolar, Aiden Wilson Glenn Winters, Ethan Wayne Cranford (Macy), and David Kyle Perkins (Kati); 3 great grandchildren, Daniel Lee Berry, Nathan Blake Donaldson, and Addison Blair Donaldson; daughter-in-law, Bonny Winters Perkins (Shawn); and her very special friend, Janet Witty.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Tolar, Lee Donaldson, Nathan Donaldson, Ethan Cranford, Daniel Berry, and Aiden Winters.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Luke Pearce, Matthew Hendry, and Kyle Perkins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to McClendon Baptist Church.
