Relocating back to Louisiana in the late 1970’s, Lodie became a faithful member of Parkview Baptist Church in Monroe, LA.  She later served as President of the Faith Sunday School Class.  Her other interests included growing gorgeous flowers, taking long walks with friends, and caring for her ailing relatives.  She is preceded in death by her husband; her four brothers and three sisters.
