Funeral services for Litha “Marie” Medaries Patterson, 76, of Monroe, will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Trey Odom officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetary, Hwy 80, Monroe, LA.
Marie was born December 5, 1944 and passed away on May 28, 2021. She was a 1963 graduate of Ouachita Parish High School and attended Northeast Louisiana State College. She worked for many years at the East Ouachita Recreation Center, Ouachita Parish High School, then at Chase Mortgage. Marie was an avid fan of New Orleans Saints and LSU football as well as any sport her children or grandchildren were playing. She didn’t miss a game.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Patterson, and her parents, Eddie & Melba Medaries.
Survivors include two daughters, Ronda Patterson Kinison and husband, Ray and Robin Patterson Edgeworth and boyfriend, Nathan Culpepper. Four sons, Raymond Patterson, Rodney Patterson, Eddie Ray Sonnier, and Robert Patterson II. Maw-Maw had ten grandchildren, Brittany Patterson, Ashley Marie Edgeworth, Hunter Edgeworth, Raymond Patterson II (wife Sarah), Jessica Patterson, Robbie Patterson, Melissa Patterson, Paul David Sonnier, T J Sonnier, & Robert Patterson III, plus six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Melba Burson, husband Tommy, and son Jonathan.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Edgeworth, Jimmy Barnes, Joe Danna, Ray Kinison, Mark Kinison, & Charlie Tucker.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 1, 2021, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA.
