Linda "Sue" Dean Battaglia

Funeral services for Linda “Sue” Dean Battaglia, 75, of Monroe, Louisiana, will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe with Bro. Woods Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 25,2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe.

Mrs. Battaglia passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family Sunday, May 23, 2021. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who would do anything for her family. She was always thoughtful, kind, and considerate of the needs of others. Sue loved animals, was an amazing cook, a passionate reader, as well as an author of numerous poems.

Mrs. Battaglia was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Bessie Phillips Dean; sister, Marjorie Rogers; and nephews, Kenny and Jamie Rogers. Her survivors include her husband, John Battaglia; daughter, Marcie George; grandchildren, Austin George, Tyler George, and Rachel George; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Austin George, Tyler George, Custer Fontana, Nelson Fontana, Reginald Fontana, and Gerald Tamburo. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Fontana and Edward Sawyer.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice for their care and support.
