Linda Kay Thompson, formally of Monroe, passed away April 19, 2022 in Springfield MO. Linda will be laid to rest beside her parents and other family members at 2:00, May 19, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Linda grew up in Monroe. She attended College Place Baptist Church, graduated from Neville High School in 1966, and from Northeast Louisiana State College. Linda went on to graduate school in Illinois. She then moved to New York City where she studied acting and performed in off-broadway plays, and in a few TV commercials. She made New York her home for almost 50 years, teaching acting, proof reading legal papers, teaching at various universities and doing community work.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Enos and Leola Thompson, and survived by her sister Monisa James and husband Glenn, and niece, Emma James and nephew, Ben James.
