Linda Kay Huber

A celebration of life for Linda Kay Huber, 72, will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, April 26, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Mrs. Huber was born on March 3, 1952, in Wisner, Louisiana, and passed away on April 21, 2024, in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Linda began her career at Mulhearn’s in Winnsboro as a debit route collector in the 1970’s. She then went on to train and work as a Certified Nursing Assistant before her mother passed. She then moved in with her father, Samuel Huber, and cared for him until his passing. Linda started cross country truck driving, which she loved she would take her children with her to see the country. Her CB handle was “The Wanderer”. For many different reasons she had to let truck driving go to finish raising her family, but she often spoke of how she loved driving cross country. She then went on to return to work as a CNA, as well as testing and passing the EMT Certification Exam. She worked in these fields for a few years before testing for her insurance license. She then went on to return to Insurance Sales with Security National. Linda’s health took a turn for the worse, so she returned to Franklin Parish to be closer to her family. She always had big dreams and desires to do more in the insurance field and would often discuss moving to bigger cities and traveling abroad.

She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Chase Huber; mother, Jennie Ann Roberts Huber; siblings, Bobbie Ann Hankins, Fannie Pearl Holmes, Russell Huber, and Wayne Huber; and grandchild, Courtney Elizabeth Hackney; nephew, Brad Holmes; nieces, Lori Huber and Suzanne Holmes.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jennifer Allen and her husband, John, Billie Jo Johnson and her husband, Dub, Christopher Bailey and his wife, Niki, Barbie Moore and her husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Johnathan Allen, Rebecca Allen, Samuel Allen, Lauren Neathery(Daniel), Chelsea Matthews(Dustin), Dustin Bailey(Danielle), Ariel Bailey, Elaina Bailey, Byron Pace(Katelyn) and Matthew Pace(Victoria); great grandchildren, Cort Matthews, Cole Matthews, Clay Matthews, Stetson Matthews, Waylon Bailey, Lane Bailey, Melody Kirkham, and Baby Pace is due October 4, 2024 ;nieces and nephews, Steve Homes, Lynn Holmes Watson, Sammie Holmes, Debbie Huber, Russell Huber, and Melynda Gayle Huber Barton; as well as a host of step grandchildren.
