Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Faye McKeithen Jimes, 60, of West Monroe will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Peniel Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Shoemaker and Rev. Billy Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Calhoun, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Larry Anderson playing trumpet at graveside.
Linda Faye McKeithen Jimes went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2009 after a short illness. Linda Jimes has been a long time resident of Ouachita Parish and retired from the Ouachita Parish School System after 18 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and a dear friend and will surely be missed. Linda is preceded in death by her father, Calop McKeithen and her brother, James McKeithen.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Glenn Jimes of West Monroe; daughter, Tracy Jordan and husband Jamie of West Monroe; son, Dwayne Jimes of Keithville, LA; mother, Katie McKeithen of West Monroe; sister, Jessie Sullivan of Bossier City, LA; brother, Jerry McKeithen and wife Linda of Bossier City, LA; sister in-law, Shirley McKeithen of Houston, TX; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John McLendon, Doug Gullidge, Steve Bo Kelly, Donnie Attaway, Terry Glover, and Toby Lovell. Honorary pallbearer will be Sonny Sanders.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
