Lillie M. Halbrook

Services for Mrs. Lillie M. Halbrook, 85 of Winnsboro, will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2016 in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro, with Bro. Dennis Fontenot, and Bro. Paul Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Chase Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Mrs. Halbrook was a retired nurse, and passed away on December 12, 2016. She was preceded in death by brothers; Levi Mahoney, and Ben Mahoney, sister, Nell Mahoney Bacle, son, James Edward Halbrook, and son-in-law, Gary Box.

Loving wife of Travis Halbrook for 66 years. Together they raised eight children, at the age of 44 she went to nursing school for LPN, worked as a nurse for 20 years, retired to stay home and enjoy time with her children, and grandchildren. Her hobbies included reading and quilting. She was also a lifetime member of Chase Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Husband of 66 years, Travis Halbrook, 7 Children: Beth Butler and husband Bobby of Winnsboro, Donald Halbrook and wife Nancy of Jigger, Melodye Baskin and husband Tony of San Antonio, TX, Joseph Halbrook and wife Linda of Three Rivers, TX, Angela Box of Wisner, Janie Yoakom and husband Pat of Utica, OH, and John Halbrook and wife Penny of Calhoun. 15 Grandchildren: Brandy Austin, Shaun Butler, Shelly Dotson, Travis Halbrook, Ralph Campbell, Lucas Baskin, Cork Halbrook, Sawyer Halbrook, Josh Box, Taylor Box, Heath Yoakom, Lacey Halbrook, Lydia Halbrook, James Halbrook, and Amanda Halbrook. 22 Great-Grandchildren.

Pallbearers are: Travis Halbrook, Shaun Butler, Ralph Campbell, Lucas Baskin, Heath Yoakom, and Daniel Veuleman.

Honorary Pallbearer is Joshua Box.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15th at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
