Lester "Les" Barnes

Funeral Services for Mr. Lester “Les” Barnes, 76, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Monroe, LA, with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Thursday at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.

Mr. Barnes was born July 8, 1945, in Tupelo, MS, and passed away April 9, 2022, at his home in West Monroe, LA. He worked in the tire business for 40+ years and retired from GCR Firestone. Les loved to travel, especially on cruises and to his annual family reunions and Maine and Las Vegas, where he and Lorrie shared very happy memories.

He was preceded in death by his nephew, James Johnston.

Survivors include his wife, Lorrie Barnes; children, Tina Clark, Mindy Clark, Kevin Barnes and wife Shorona, Debra Barrett, Cheri Duhon, and Adam Blair; two grandchildren, Ella and Kayli; sister, Mitzie Finley and husband Robin; nephew, DJ Johnston; fur babies, Joey, Sadie, and Lucy, who were a huge part of his life; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
