Funeral services for Mr. Leo Guerrero, 59, of Columbia, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 4, 2009 at Living Way Apostolic Church in West Monroe with Rev. Carl Shurte and Rev. Nathan Thornton officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe.
Mr. Guerrero was born on October 22, 1949 in Mission, Texas and passed away on August 30, 2009 at LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport, LA.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy Skyles Guerrero; daughters, Bridgette Guerrero Chilton and husband Jeremy Chilton of West Monroe, LA, Brandi Guerrero Donald and husband Keith Donald of West Monroe, LA, Sherry Skyles Scalia and husband Joey Scalia of New Orleans, LA; sons, Alvin Skyles and Steven Skyles of Columbia, LA; granddaughters, Macey Chilton, Taylor Donald of West Monroe, LA, Savannah Scalia of New Orleans, LA, Stormi Skyles, Brittany Skyles, Makayla Skyles, Jayla Skyles all of Columbia, LA; grandsons, Ethan James Chilton of West Monroe, LA, Dylan Kelly of Columbia, LA; brothers, Pablo and Donna Guerrero, Noel and Linda Guerrero, Danny and Janice Guerrero, and Johnny Guerrero all of Columbia, LA; and sisters, Olga and Roger McClanahan of Columbia, LA, Rosemary Guerrero of Round Rock, Texas, Gloria Guerrero, Maria Guerrero of Columbia, La, and Sara and Woody Duncan of West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Guerrero was a self-employed farmer for many years and was a loving father, husband, brother, uncle, and grandfather to all his family. He also took care of his baby brother, Johnny.
Pallbearers are David Guerrero, Roger McClanahan, Jr., Jeremiah Jarrett, Keith Guerrero, Shayne Hudson, and Dylan Kelly. Honorary Pallbearers will be his nephews and local area farmers that worked along beside him all these years.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 3, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Living Way Apostolic Church and Friday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
