Leo Lester "Rusty" Howell

Memorial services celebrating the life of Leo Lester “Rusty” Howell, Jr., 66, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 13, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Jeffrey Kent and Jason Breard officiating. 

Rusty was born on September 17, 1957, in Houma, Louisiana, and passed away suddenly on January 3, 2024, in Dallas, Texas.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  Rusty is preceded in death by his parents, Leo Howell, Sr. and Wanda Russ.

Rusty was a proud father to Rebekah Howell and Josiah Howell from his former spouse, Mary Kay Howell, as well as a daughter from a previous relationship, Ashlee Salter-Howell .  In addition, “Pawpaw” Rusty was extremely proud of his grandchildren, Sydney, Kynley, Adalley, Ella, Bennett, Leland, Shetira, and Ashlon.  Rusty also leaves behind his 4 younger siblings, Debbie Alford, John Howell, Linda Howell, and Phillip Howell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday.
