The rite of Christian burial for Lenora Carso Wallace will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 30, 2012 in the St. Matthew Catholic Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. Richard Norsworthy and Msgr Edmund Moore officiating. Burial will follow at St. Matthew Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA.
Lenora died Sunday, August 26, 2012 following extended illness from surgery. She was born June 13, 1943 in Monroe, LA. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and Phi Mu Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Angelena Casamento Carso.
Survivors: daughter, Renae and husband Micheal Maybee and grandson Edward Wallace Maybee; her brother, Samuel Joseph Corso; her sisters JoAnn Bass, Catherine and husband L. D. “Bud” Ray, Camille and husband Ken Sihler; her nephews, Kenneth Bass, Michael Bass; her nieces, Angela Quint and Allyson Ray and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Lenora graduated with the Neville High School Class of 1961. She attended Louisiana Tech University and ULM. She was co-owner of Russellville Livestock Auction in Russellville, KY, and a bookkeeper for Cattlemen’s Livestock Auction, Harrison, AR, before returning to Monroe to be the property manager of Erwin Enterprises in 1994.
Her friendly way with whomever she met touched people from all walks of life.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Bass, Michael Bass, L. D. “Bud” Ray, Ken Sihler, Dr. Robert Spatafora, Dr. Charles Sampagnaro, Allen Otts and Charles R. McCook.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 5 until 7 PM on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA.
