Laura Lee Sams

Funeral Services for Laura Lee Sams, 86, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, September 14, 2019, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Jeff Luellen officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe.

Mrs. Sams was born July 10, 1933 and passed away September 12, 2019. She was a waitress at Bonanza, Catfish Inn and Patsy’s Big Top. Mrs. Sams enjoyed gardening, and she loved her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Denverd Sams, Sr.; son, Winfred Sams; and great grandson, Seth Turner.

Survivors include her sons, Denverd Sams (Ashley), and Glen Sams and wife Carla; grandchildren, Brandy Pickel, Natosha Dean, Daniel Sams, Nathan Sams, Shawn Tolar, Heather Batey, Weston Sams, Anitra Luther, and Wendy Turner; and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Friday, September 13, 2019, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the American Cancer Society.
