Funeral Services for Larry Leon Lawson, 85, of West Monroe, will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 300 McMillan Rd, West Monroe, LA 71291. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens, 8729 Cypress St, West Monroe, LA 71291. Visitation will be Friday, May 5, 2023, from 9:30 A.M. until service time in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 300 McMillan Rd, West Monroe, LA 71291.

Larry was born February 4,1938 and passed peacefully from this life at his home in West Monroe, Louisiana on May 1, 2023.

Larry attended West Monroe High School and Trade School, graduating both at the same time. He worked 26 plus years at Manville in Plant 47 as a maintenance machinist. When he retired, he and his wife built a successful mobile home park business in West Monroe. Larry was an avid outdoorsman and was truly happy when he was hunting or fishing with his family. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Harry and Clara Lawson; and a brother, Charles Lawson.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bertha J, (G.G.); his children, Tammy Lawson, Timmy Lawson, Debbie (Randy) Thompson, and Donna (Russell) Hopko; brother, James E. Lawson; extended family, Karon (Jimmy) Arnold, Vera (Terry) McCorristin, and Kelly (Jamie) Coates; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be James Earl Lowery, Floyd Sandiford, Charlie Carter, Kenny Carter, Marvin Carter, Jimmy Arnold, and Christian Doyle.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Thompson and Jamie Coates.
