Larry Glen Lewis passed away November 11, 2016 surrounded by his family that loved him.
Larry was born December 30, 1940 in Longview, TX. The family moved to West Monroe in 1955. He was a proud graduate of WMHS and of ULM. Larry worked in retail furniture, first with his father and then with his son, Justin. He turned many customers into friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Nellie. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carolyn Lewis; daughter, Cherri Barnette and husband Ken Hall; son, Dr. Glen Lewis and his partner John Wills; son, Justin Lewis and wife Kelly; his twin sisters, Lanelle Parker and husband Gene and Lucy Lewis; grandchildren, Matthew Lewis, Anne Elise Lewis, Chloe Hall Barnette, Haleigh Allbritton and Lawson Lewis.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M., Monday, November 14, 2016 at Christ Church in West Monroe, LA with services to immediately follow with Pastor Tom Lowe officiating.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Donias and the wonderful staff at Glenwood CV-ICU.
The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials are made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
