Larry Gene Cook

Graveside Services for Larry Gene Cook, 73, of West Monroe, LA, will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Heneritta, TX with Bro. Bill Faircloth officiating.

Mr. Cook was born May 4, 1944, in Oakland, CA, and passed away February 17, 2018. He was a member of Ida Baptist Church. He was a simple man who loved God, his family, his job and fishing. He enjoyed the simple things in life. He could sit on the bank for hours and not catch a fish. Mr. Cook enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and teaching others the simple lessons of life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dalphes Eugene Cook; mother, Lola Perfetti Cook Hall; and sister, Susan Hall DeMello.

Mr. Cook is survived by his son, Jason Eugene Cook; daughter-in-law, Juanita Kay Auttonberry-Cook; grandson, Lucien Troy Auttonberry-Cook; brother, Steve Cook and wife Lou Ann; sister, Diana Jackson and husband Alan; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Memorials may be made to the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana or to the American Cancer Society.
