Larra Mae Pardue

Memorial Services Celebrating the Life of Larra Mae Pardue, 74, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the Beulah United Methodist Church in Calhoun, LA with Rev. Jerry Salisbury officiating.

Larra was born in Marion, LA on November 10, 1943 and passed away on September 23, 2018 at the Alpine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ruston, LA after succumbing to cancer. She was a beloved member of the Beulah United Methodist Church and of the Calhoun Community for over 50 years. Ms. Pardue is preceded in death by her parents, Nun H. and Ida Jane Pardue; and brothers, Willard and James E. Pardue.

Survivors include her sisters, Callie Greer and Martha Ann Sutterfield; her children, Ronnie Monk, Brenda Monk, Terry Monk and wife, Tonya, Gary Monk, Hank Monk, David Monk, Bryan Monk, Debra Monk Wolfe and Jay Monk and wife, Tammy; grandchildren, Dovie Renee Milstead, Joseph Wolfe, Mandy Lynn Monk, and Terry Dale Monk, Jr.; along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home in Ruston, LA or to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home in Monroe, LA.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bonnie Bryan, Patsy Garrett and Tammy Monk, along with the staff and caregivers of Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care and Alpine Nursing and Rehab Center for the loving and kindness shown during Ms. Pardue’s illness.
