Lana Gail "NuNu" Ford-Palmieri

Funeral services for Lana Gail "NuNu" Ford-Palmieri, 78, of West Monroe, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 25, 2021, in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, with Rev. Jon Tellifero officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Gail was born on January 14, 1943 in Monroe, Louisiana, to Timothy and Lillian Ford, and passed from this life on March 21, 2021 in West Monroe, LA.

Gail was loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She was known as a social butterfly who could talk your ear off but was even more so an amazing listener. She loved to paint and loved going to The Ameristar! Loving to dress up for special occasions, she had a knack for fashion and owned two dress shops, Butterfly Fashion Inc and Gail’s Stout and Petite. Gail was a graduate of West Monroe Highschool, class of ’60, and went on to earn her teaching certification in education from Gulf Park College in 1962. She attended the University of New Orleans as well, and taught education in the New Orleans School district for many years.

Gail is preceded in death by her parents, Timothy E. Ford, Sr., and Lillian Georgia Hatten Ford; sister-in-law, Amy Denise Ford; and mother-in-law, Marie Crea.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert Palmieri; baby brother, Timothy Ford, Jr.; sister-in-law, Patricia Palmieri; nephews, Jason Ford, Andrew Sanders, and Trey Ford; nieces, April Campbell and husband, Terry, Geannie Morris and husband, Josh; great nephews, Aden Ford, Elijah Brandon, and Jackson Morris; great nieces, Abbigail Wallace, Trinity Ford, Henley Morris, and Aubrey Campbell; bonus daughter, Katie Beach and husband, Chad, and their son Billy; bonus son, Matthew Palmieri; numerous cousins, and many friends. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service at the mausoleum.
