Lajuana Jean Oglesby

Graveside Services for Lajuana Jean Oglesby, 86, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, April 8, 2024, at Hasley Cemetery Pavilion in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Ricky Bonnett officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Pavilion on Monday. 

Lajuana was born February 11, 1938, in West Monroe, LA, to LaVert and Effie Hendricks and passed away April 4, 2024, in West Monroe, LA. 

Lajuana grew up attending the West Monroe Church of God. She enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart and had a passion for cooking and baking. Lajuana was also in the first graduating class of West Monroe High School.  

Lajuana is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Oglesby. 

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Shawn and Kevin Oglesby; her daughter, Dawn Fatheree and her husband, Clyde; and her two grandchildren, Caleb Lavert Cathey and Slyvia Denise Cathey. 

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children Home.
