Kurt Ivan Keene

Funeral service for Mr. Kurt Ivan Keene, 54, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00PM Friday, June 3, 2022, at North Monroe Baptist Church in the West Sanctuary with Rev. Warren Eckhardt and Rev. Kenneth Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Visitation will be from 12:00PM until service time Friday, June 3, 2022, at North Monroe Baptist Church.

Mr. Keene was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church, where he was known as the “Goldfish Man.” He worked selling construction bolts for many years. Mr. Keene was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Carroll Keene and Barbara Ann Keene; sister, Karen Susie Keene; and his best friend and brother, Scott Thomas.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Keene; children, Mallory Stone and husband Evan, Jordan Keene, and Natalie Keene; sister, Karol Ann Mullins; and nephews, David Wright and wife Laura Taylor Wright and Daniel Wright.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Gwin, Chuck Gwin, Andrew Brown, Andy Martindale, Matthew Dye, and Jeff Fitzgerald. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Raborn, Chris Eubanks, Rodney Dickerson, and Jeff Hopkins.

Memorials may be made to the Children’s Ministry at North Monroe Baptist Church.
