It is with great sadness, the family of Kirby Blake Smith, 25, regrets to inform you of his passing in the early hours of May 19, 2018, peacefully, while in his sleep. Blake was a resident of Monroe, LA and proud graduate of ULM and Neville High School, where he was a football state champion and received the prestigious Elton Upshaw award. Blake will always be known for his servant heart and his infectious smile. The only love greater than Blake's friends love for him was his love for them.
Blake will always be fondly remembered by his mother, Kim Smith; father, Kirby Smith; sisters, Kayla and Crystal Smith and her husband Bobby; brother, Chad Smith; grandmother, Gloria Smith; grandmother, Grace Burke; uncle, Dennis Burke and his wife Cami; uncle, Keith Smith; aunt, Sheila Haynes; numerous cousins; his love, Darrian LeBlanc; and too many friends to count.
Please join the family in celebrating Blake's life at Whites Ferry Road Church in West Monroe, LA, for visitation from 4:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, May 24, 2018, and service on Friday, May 25, 2018, at 10:00 AM with David Watson officiating. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Plain Dealing, LA.
Pallbearers will be Reagan Crotwell, Reagan Wise, Joe Joplin, Conner Hicks, Brud Boudreaux, Gabriel Bower, Gary Blaylock, Austin Vidrine, Lyle Johnson, Rick Oslovic, and Foster Jones.
Any donations can be made to MedCamps of Louisiana in memory of Blake.
The family requests you honor the life of Blake by being kind to someone you do not know because that is what Blake would have done. Thank you.
