Memorial services celebrating the life of Kerry John Babin, 72, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at McClendon Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Dr. Kevin Stewart officiating.
Mr. Babin was born on April 10, 1952 in Raceland, Louisiana and passed away at his residence on May 18, 2024. Kerry was a member of McClendon Baptist Church and also the Friends of Faith Sunday School Class. He taught from 1974 to 1976 and then worked for a short time with Cajun Lumber. He began working with State Farm Insurance Company in 1980, where he retired in 2007 as Divisional Claims Manager. Kerry later worked for Lafourche Parish in Risk Management. Kerry was the Sauce Piquant King in the 1980’s for Raceland, Louisiana. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Kerry is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Clovis (J.C.) Babin.; mother, Gladys Marie Babin; and son-in-law, Billy Case.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Babin; children, Jenny Case, Amy Hill and husband, Greg and Kerilyn Smith and husband, Ryan; step-children, Carrie Becton and husband, Kevin, Chad Clowers and wife, Tonya, and Lela Mailand and husband, Brandon; ten grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Madison, McKenna, Isabella, Addison, Ford, Evan, Madelyn, Jessie Kaye, Hayden and Lane; brother, Irvin Paul Babin and wife, Shiela; and sister, Lynn Parks.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Irvin Paul Babin, Greg Hill, Ryan Smith, Buster Whittington, Sam Garner, and James Harper.
