Memorial services for Kent Joseph Walters, 44, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Bethany Baptist Church at 1740 Hwy 133 in Hebert with Brian Rankin officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, Louisiana.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Monday.
Mr. Walters was born in West Monroe, Louisiana on September 5, 1977, and passed away on June 14, 2022.
Mr. Walters loved and was loved by his family and friends. He is remembered for his wit, his amazing stories, his creative cooking, and his generosity. A graduate of Delta CDL program, he drove 18 wheelers for several years. His favorite hobbies were racing cars, flying remote airplanes, drawing, and tinkering with small building projects.
Mr. Walters was preceded in death by his father, Kent Louis Walters and grandparents Dan Lenard and Sue Lenard.
Survivors include his mother and step-father Acie Wayne and Laurie Brown, brother Jon Walters and wife Michelle, niece Alyssa Walters, nephew Grant Walters, brother Jacob Brown and wife Jenna, nephew October Brown and Orion Brown, grandparents Louis and Pat Walters, uncles and aunts David and Jackie Walters, Bryan and Lydia Walters, Karl and Becky Voorhees, Gerry and Kim Pierick, Stacey Lenard, cousins Michael and Kim Donohue, Mike and Kristy Bayless, Chris and Jen Walters, William Cox and Doug Cox, Adrienne Hoffman, Mike Slone, and several second cousins.
