Kenneth Ray Wilson

Funeral Services for Kenneth Ray Wilson, 74, of Sterlington, LA, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 25, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, with Rev. Danny McIlveene and Rev. Paul Laird officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Mr. Wilson was born December 23, 1946, and passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at St. Francis Medical Center with his wife and daughter by his side.

He was born in Zebedee, LA (Richland Parish), to Neil and Lois Wilson and later moved to West Monroe. He attended West Monroe High School and Northeast Louisiana State University for three years majoring in accounting. Ken had an avid love for football, fishing and golf, and his favorite was Rebel football. He worked at many grocery stores including, Brookshires where he was an Assistant Manager and at Super1 where he worked in produce. He also worked many years at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in purchasing and central supply and also at CenturyTel for seven years where he made many friends. Ken retired in 2016 from Ouachita Parish Public Library, where he enjoyed being with people.

He is survived by his wife, Della Wilson; his two children, Misti McDaniel (Patrick) and Clint Wilson; three stepsons, Michael Smith, Justin Hillis and Joseph Hillis; the mother of his children, Judy Barrett; brother, John Wilson (Jackie); special sister-in-law, Phyllis Cagle (James); and grandchildren, Hunter McDaniel, Nicholas McDaniel, Becca McDaniel, Ryan McDaniel, Jon Michael Smith and Blake Smith.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Hillis, Gary Smith, James Cagle, Gary Thornhill, Jimmy Taylor, and Sam Roberson.
