Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth L. Bonnette, Sr., 80, of West Monroe will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 29, 2008 at Pleasant Hill Church, West Monroe with Rev. Lamar Cranston, Rev. George Jacobs, and Rev. Michael Sims officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery.
Mr. Bonnette was a member of Pleasant Hill Church and a veteran of the United States Navy. His passions were fishing, helping people in need, family, and supporting his grandchildren at West Monroe Rebels softball and basketball games, Calvary football, and West Ouachita High School. He was a born salesman and worked at Sears and Roebuck for 42 years. He was a generous man but always lived within his means. Mr. Bonnette always put the Lord first in his life. He is preceded in death by his wife, Eva K. Bonnette; daughter, Donna Marie; and parents, Bill and Elma Bonnette.
He is survived by his children, Janice Reeves and husband, Gene, Ken Bonnette, Jr. and wife, Lisa, Bruce Bonnette and wife, Anne Louise, and Pam Dollar and husband, Doug; grandchildren, Chris Reeves and wife, Ashley, Matthew Reeves, Brynner, Logan, Carly, and Kendall Bonnette, Amber Kimble and husband, Josh, Heather Bonnette and fiancée, Andy Smith, Daniel Bonnette and fiancée, Amy Crocker, Savannah and Alana Dollar; great grandchildren, Connor, Madison, Tori and Luke; and brother, Breard Bonnette and wife, Shirley and their children, Doyle, Sheila, and Angie.
Pallbearers will be Chris Reeves, Matthew Reeves, Brynner Bonnette, Logan Bonnette, Daniel Bonnette, Doyle Bonnette, Gene McCarty, and Kyle White.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Messina, Jimmy White, and Howard Brown.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time at Pleasant Hill Church, West Monroe.
