Memorial graveside services for Mr. Keith Young Moncrief, 71, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Hasley Cemetery Pavilion in West Monroe with Rev. Lamar Oliver officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Wednesday at the pavilion.
Keith Young Moncrief was born January 2, 1950 and passed away January 15, 2021. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in West Monroe and he was a teacher and football coach for over 40 years and worked for the Monroe City School Board, Shelby County School Board in Memphis, TN, and retired from Ouachita Parish School Board. Mr. Moncrief was preceded in death by his parents, Colburn Hoyt Moncrief, Sr. and Janice Young Moncrief.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Gay Boulware Moncrief; brother, C.H. “Monty” Moncrief, Jr. and wife Barbara Lynn of Clinton, AR; daughter, Meredith Moncrief Branch and husband Aaron of West Monroe, LA; daughter, Leslie Guimbellot Larsen of Monroe, LA; son, Kirk Andrew Moncrief of Shreveport, LA; granddaughters, Remy Larsen, Lola Larsen, Caroline Branch, and Lily Branch; mother-in-law, Joanne McVay Keuler of Hales Corners, WI; family friend, Frederick D. Marshall, II of Shreveport, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Cook, Gary “Buddy” Cook, Jr., Joel Moncrief, and Wayne Moncrief.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to First United Methodist Church in West Monroe, LA.
