Funeral services for Mr. Keith Henry Thompson, 64, of Eros, Louisiana, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 24, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, with Pastor Russell Rhodes officiating. Interment will follow in Loch Arbor Cemetery in Swartz, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe.
Keith was born August 6, 1956 to Jack and Wilma Loraine Thompson, in Monroe, LA and passed from this life on February 19, 2021 at his home in Eros, Louisiana.
Keith was known by many, and often referred to as the Hometown Hero. He was a member of the R&R Hunting Club and played for the ACS Arena in House Pool League. He also coached the East Ouachita Dixie Youth Girls Softball for over a decade. Keith retired after 35 years of service from Texas Gas/Boardwalk Pipeline. He also attended the Fishnet Worship Center.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Loraine Thompson; brother, Steve Thompson; and nephew Scott Thompson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of nineteen years, Joanie Thompson; son, Jason Thompson and wife, Baleigh; daughter, Kayla Lee and husband, Jake; grandchildren, Jackson Scott Lee, Isabella Rose Lee, Amelia Grace Lee, Abby Kate Lee, Natalie Jane Thompson, North Elizabeth Thompson, and Nora Kate Thompson; brothers, Rusty Thompson (Lynn), and David Thompson (Felicia); and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Beasley, Jeff Warner, Ricky Hatten, Randy Etheridge, Douglas Valentine, Jerry Walker, Terry Holley, and Turtle Nelson. Honorary pallbearers are Owen Takewell, Louis Hendry, and The Texas Gas Guys.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M., until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Thomas S. Williams, Dr. Greg Sampognaro, and Dr. Harry Donias and staff, for their special care for Keith.
