Funeral Services for Mrs. Kay Riggin, 78, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, June 12, 2022, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Marvin Wink officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Riggin was born March 15, 1944, in Camden, AR and passed away June 8, 2022, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family after complications from pneumonia. She was a faithful member of Wesley Chapel Community Church in West Monroe. Kay retired from Ouachita Parish School Board as a Teacher’s Aide in Special Education.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dave Justice; mother, Lillian Justice; sisters, Dolly Justice and Ann Dickerson; nephews, David Farrar and Justice Farrar; brothers-in-law, Horace Farrar and Mark Riggin; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Travis and Sally Riggin.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Brad Riggin; her two sons, Lee Riggin and wife Monica, and Scott Riggin and wife Lori; Chasity Burdette and husband Dannie; sister, Janet Farrar; grandchildren, Nick Freeland (Jenna), Sommer Hughes (Jarod), Taylor Sanders (Tyler), Alexis Burdette, and Trey Burdette; great grandchildren, Allie Grace Freeland, Bayleigh Faith Freeland, and Caleb Louis Freeland; and sister-in-law, Frances Hammond and husband Wayne.
Pallbearers will be Russell Greer, Don Mims, Ted Justice, Ethan James, Matt Griffin, and Toby Danna.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
