     Kathleen McKay Ragland (born:  July 1, 1920), formally of Alto, Louisiana, passed away
on Saturday November 30, 2013 in Belleville, Illinois at the age of 93 after a short illness
and has gone to her heavenly home.  Kathleen moved from her longtime home in Alto,
Louisiana to Eureka, Missouri in 1999 with her husband, Joe L. (J.L.) Ragland, who
passed on in 2004.  Kathleen is preceded by her father and mother- Robert B. (R.B.)
McKay and Jenny Brown McKay, brothers Roy McKay and Wilbur McKay, sister Robbie B.
Keen and a still-born brother.  She is survived by Robert L. Ragland—son, Vicky P. Harris-Ragland-daughter-in-law, Robert B. Ragland-grandson and Allyson D. Ragland-granddaughter of
Omaha, Nebraska.
     Kathleen was a devout Christian, a loving mom, wife and grandmother, an active homemaker, as well as held positions as Alto Post Master, a member of Alto Garden Club,
Mangham Elementary teacher’s aid and Principle’s secretary as well as loving to play piano.
Kathleen and J.L. were active members in Alto Baptist Church until their move to Eureka.
     Viewing will be at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Rayville, Louisiana, the evening of Friday
December 6 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.  Services will be held at Alto Baptist Church on
Highway 15 in Alto, Louisiana on Saturday December 7 at 1:00 p.m. under the direction of
Pastor Alan Miller with services by Pastor David Shirley and conclude at Gwin Cemetery
in Mangham, Louisiana, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville, Louisiana.
     Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to Alto Baptist Church.  Family may donate to the
Brown Cemetery Fund.  Either will be most appreciated.
