Katherine Moore Prickett

A celebration of life for Katherine Moore Prickett, 72, of Extension, Louisiana, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 22, 2024, at Boeuf Prairie Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Ensminger officiating. The visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service.

Kathy was born on March 9, 1952, in Biloxi, MS, to Faydette “Sonny Man” and Ola Moore and passed peacefully on July 17, 2024, at Legacy Nursing Home in Winnsboro, LA. Kathy went to Liddieville High School and Fort Necessity High School. She attended Boeuf Prairie Methodist Church and Life Church in Winnsboro, LA. Kathy enjoyed studying the Bible, spending time with her beloved pets, watching Westerns, gardening, photography and various other hobbies. She reveled in holiday festivities and loved to decorate.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Prickett of Extension; brother, Steve and Cindy Moore of West Monroe; nephew, Jonathan; and niece, Chelsea Raye; daughter, Alicia Crum and her husband, Shane of Fort Necessity; granddaughters, Chelsea, Haley, and Emily; stepdaughter, Lori Chenoweth and her husband, Rusty of Goose Creek, SC; step grandsons, Alex, Nick, and Cameron; stepson, Allen Prickett and his wife, Joyce of Spotsylvania, VA; and step grandchildren, Andrew and Michelle

Family and friends are invited to attend a small reception with refreshments at the church afterwards.

Kathy will be cremated; her ashes will be interred at Matthews Cemetery at a later date.
