Karen Nanette Cason

Graveside Services for Karen Nanette Cason, 61, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 1:30 P.M., Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Skip Dean officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service on Sunday. 

Karen was born March 27, 1962, in Alexandria, Louisiana, to J.W and Lorraine Cason and passed away on March 5, 2024, in West Monroe, Louisiana.  

Karen graduated from McNeese University in 1984, with a degree in Nursing.  After living and working in Shreveport, she returned to Alexandria, where she stayed until moving to West Monroe in 2017, to be closer to family.  She was a member of Highland Baptist Church and was actively involved in her Sunday School classes and church nursery.

Karen loved being home with her constant and loving companion, fur baby, Olivia.  She loved to cook and sew and spent many hours making girls’ dresses for needy young girls.  She was always busy with a “project".  She was very handy with tools and could do almost anything if she put her mind to it.  But most of all, Karen had a heart of gold.  She would do anything for anybody and loved helping anyone in need.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, J.W and Lorraine Cason.

Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Jay Cason and Randy Cason and his wife, Lori.
