Julie K. Mullican

May 13, 1925 — February 19, 2013

Services for Mrs. Julie K. Borden Mullican, 87 of Baskin, LA will be at
11:00 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2013 in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home
of Winnsboro, with Bro. Rick Aultman and Rev. Marion Spence officiating.  Interment will follow in Prewitt Cemetery near Mangham, LA
under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro, LA.
     Mrs. Mullican was born in South San Francisco, CA, May 13, 1925 to John
Robert and Edna Francis Riley Borden.  She passed from this life on February
19, 2013.
     While working in  a candy shop in San Francisco, she met Louisiana Navy
man, Jr. Mullican.  They married and moved to his hometown of Baskin, LA in
1946.
     Julie was a wonderful mom and homemaker.  She loved to quilt and
garden.  Her greatest enjoyment was cooking for and spending time with her
children and grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, A.M. Mullican, Jr., of
Baskin, LA and three sisters, Pat, Muriel, and Renee, all of California.
     Left to cherish her memory are:
Sons:  John Mullican and wife Emma of Delaware, AR.
Dennis Mullican of Baskin, LA.
Andrew Mullican of Baskin, LA.
Steve Mullican and wife, Cheryl of Wisner, LA.
Daughters:  Kathaleen Doughty and husband, Robert of Bossier City, LA.
Margie Andrews and husband, Buddy of Ruston, LA.
Barbara Taylor and husband, Mike of Hallsville, TX.
Susie Taylor and husband, Bill of Shreveport, LA.
12 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Sister-in-laws:  Lucy Mullican of Baskin, LA.
Kathryn McQuillin of Winnsboro, LA.
Gloria Ponthieux of Marksville, LA.
A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
     Pallbearers will be:  Grandsons Jayme Taylor, Micah Mullican, J. T.
Schrock, Marc Byrd, Cody Hargrove, Lorand Csoma.

10AM till 11AM Friday

11 AM Friday Feb. 22, 2013
Mulhearn Chapel in Winnsboro

Prewitt Cemetery
