Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Julie James Grant, 49, of Baton Rouge, LA formerly of Winnsboro, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the New Zion Baptist Church in Winnsboro, LA with Rev. Tommy Basco officiating. Interment will follow in the New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA.

Julie was born on July 14, 1971 in Baton Rouge, LA and passed away on October 12, 2020. She loved spending time with her family and her work family and was an avid LSU sports fan. Julie is preceded in death by her father, Darby C. James, Jr.; brother, Jeremy Wade James; maternal grandfather, Eugene Dock Hitt; paternal grandparents, Darby James Sr. and Jo Alver Baker James; also by her grandfather, Felix John Henry.

Survivors include her 2 sons, Jacob Allan Grant and James Darby “J.D.” Grant; her mother, Jeanne Hitt James; grandmother, Lois Jean Hitt; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until Service Time on Thursday at New Zion Baptist Church.

In Lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at Franklin State Bank in Julie’s honor.
