Funeral Services for Mrs. Julie Rice, 47, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 6:00 P.M. Friday, May 6, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Waylon McCormick officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.Julie was born on July 20, 1968 and passed away on May 1, 2016. Julie enjoyed spending time outdoors with her husband, gardening, hunting and fishing. She was an avid LSU Tiger Football fan. Julie was always willing to jump in and help someone out. She was an animal lover and rescuer. Julie loved her family and opened her heart and home to host many family gatherings. Julie is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Elizabeth Foy.Survivors include her loving husband of 24 years, Steve Rice; sisters-in-laws, Pam Rice and Terry Rice all of West Monroe, LA; sister, Teresa Glenn and husband, DeWayne of Swartz, LA; along with her other brothers and sisters, numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until Service Time on Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.Memorials may be made to the Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter or to the River City Humane Society in Monroe, LA.
