Celebration of life for Judith Fortney Curry, 75, of Monroe, will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, September 12, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Ray Owens officiating.
Mrs. Judy Curry lived in Palmdale, CA where she met her husband who was serving in the Navy and moved to Monroe. She passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017, at her residence. She was a member of Amvets Auxiliary, co-founder of Curry’s Truck Frame and Body Shop, Inc. in 1984, and retired from Troy & Nichols/Chase. Judy loved spending time with her family and taking care of her husband. She was a true Granny to all her Grandbabies; supportive and fun loving! Over the years she enjoyed her local Amvets Post, baking, collecting hallmark, deer hunting and many other outdoor activities with family and friends!
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Shelby Curry; daughters, Connie Curry Stokes and husband Ike, and Becky Curry Neathery and husband Tim; grandchildren, Christine Stokes Monk and husband Michael, Taylor Stokes and girlfriend Abi Antis, Mary Ann Stokes, Timothy Jacob Neathery and wife Sarah, and Chance Curry Neathery; great granddaughter, Natalie Monk; 4 sisters, 1 brother, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Tuesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
