Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita Hernandez, 95, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. Joseph A. Martina, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in St. Matthew Catholic Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd.

Mrs. Hernandez was born February 28, 1928, and passed away April 26, 2023, in Monroe, LA. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Monroe.

Mrs. Hernandez was preceded in death by her father, Alvino Yruegas; mother, Sabina Yruegas; brothers, Fred Yruegas, Emmanuel Yruegas, Johnny Yruegas, and Frank Yruegas; and sisters, Mary Jesse Yruegas and Josephine Yruegas.

Survivors include her son, Miguel Hernandez of West Monroe, LA; and daughters, Veronica Lashley of Shreveport, LA and Maria Green of Monroe, LA.

The pallbearers will be Patrick Lashley, Matt Green, Kevin Green, Jacob Green, Chuck McVay, and Miguel Hernandez.
