Joyce Ann Smith Myatt

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Joyce Ann Smith Myatt, 80, of Monroe, LA, will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Outreach Baptist Church in Columbia, LA, with Rev. Joey Kennedy officiating. 

Mrs. Myatt was born September 22, 1943, and passed from this life on May 22, 2024 from an extended illness in her home. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Lee Smith and Anna Bell Rodacker Smith; five sisters, Estelle, Mary, Bonnie, Sarah, and Eula; brother, Lee Roy Smith; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Kyle Watson.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Robert G Myatt; son, Ricky Myatt and wife Sophia; three daughters, Jan Dempsey and husband Rick, Sandy May and husband Jimmy, Paula Myatt and husband Tommy; six grandchildren, Shea Dempsey and husband Darryal, Kacee Sullivan and husband Jon, Amber Hatten and husband Mikie, Kendall Watson, Jarod Dempsey, and Zachary Hatten and wife Nikki; eight great-grandchildren, Kylie Lashare, Brayden Myatt, Drake Watson, Ryleigh Lashare, Brantley Watson, Jack Sullivan, Jeremyas Dempsey, Kaiden Dempsey, and Janetta Dempsey; two brothers, Cecil Hayward Smith and wife Donna, Johnny Henry Smith and wife Joyce; as well as numerous nieces, nephews cousins, and special friend, Patricia Dulaney, as well as many others.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Zach Hatten, Bo Harris, David Harris, Brent Harris, James Hough, Scott Hurt, Lonnie Lowe and Melvin Harvey. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Joseph Hospice for their loving care and respect.
