Joyce Inez Haddad, 88, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Monroe, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at home on June 4, 2017. Mrs. Haddad was born on March 22, 1929 in Monroe, LA and was married 62 years to her husband, Jasper Haddad.
Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Haddad was employed by the Bell Telephone Company in the Monroe business office accounting department. Mrs. Haddad and her husband owned a successful hardware and appliance business, Haddad Hardware and Haddad Appliances, in Monroe for many years. She was a devoted member of Grace Episcopal Church, Daughters of the King, church support organization. Mrs. Haddad enjoyed delivering flowers and meals to the infirmed for many years and spending time with her great grandson. Also a member of the Monroe Garden Club, she was an excellent homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Holly Jan Haddad of Fort Worth, Texas; son, Jon J. Haddad and wife Sharen, of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Courtney Fieber and spouse L.A. Johnson, of Austin, Texas, and Tess Osborne of Austin, Texas; and great grandchild, Jasper Hudson Johnson; along with several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Haddad is preceded in death by her parents, William J. and Vera Sears Wright; and brothers, Melvin Wright and Elvy B. Wright.
Following a private funeral service, visitation will be at Grace Episcopal Church, Kilbourne Parish Hall from 3:00 until 4:00 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2017.
