Joy Lynn Aycock Hendrix

Funeral Services for Joy Lynn Aycock Hendrix, 63, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Burdeaux officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Joy was born on May 10, 1953 in Urania, LA and passed away on September 12, 2016 at her home. She loved gardening and reading a good book. Joy was known for her good cooking. She is preceded in death by her father, Cecil Aycock; and brother, Frank Aycock.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Gerald Hendrix; daughters, Tonya Hendrix, Chrystal Beard and husband Buster; grandchildren, Kallah Dowdy and Chase Dowdy; mother, Arzelia Aycock; siblings, Diane Cotton and husband Paul, Vicky Cassels and husband Ronnie, Carl Aycock and wife Deborah, Johnny Aycock and wife Deanne; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Curt Hendrix, Greg Hendrix, Roger Berry, Cory Cassels, Bryan Cassels, and Ryan Etheridge. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Parker and Allen Davis.

Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Friday, September 16, 2016 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
