Services for Mrs. Joy Earl, 84 of Delhi, LA will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017 in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Interment will follow in Crowville Masonic Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Earl was born December 11, 1932 in Madison Parish, and passed away on August 16, 2017. She was a waitress at Jesse’s Steak and Seafood in Winnsboro. She loved growing flowers, especially day lilies, was very active, loving outdoor activities. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved her dog “B.J.”, and loved to sew. She also enjoyed cooking for family get-togethers. She was a waitress, and loved talking to people, played softball in her 40’s, and loved riding motorcycles.
Mrs. Earl was preceded in death by the father of her children, William Jarrell Earl, brother; J.W. Holloway and wife Margie Carter Holloway and Thomas Holloway and wife Mary, sisters; Arlene Perot, Louise Southern and husband Glynn, Christine and Ealom Allen, Lola Mae and Bluford Ezell, and Flora Belle Donnell and husband Curtis, brothers-in-law; R.V. Sanches, Woodrow Carter, and parents; Mettie Pepper Holloway, and Thomas Jefferson Holloway.
Survivors include: Daughter, Patty Earl of Delhi, sons: William Thomas Earl of Texas and Barney Randolf Earl, sisters; Erlene Sanches of Delhi, Sue Franklin and husband Dennis Ray of Delhi, and Velma Carter of Delhi, brother-in-law, Roger Perot of Delhi, grandchildren; Darren Green and wife Tamara, and Valerie Earl, both of Delhi, and great-grandchildren; Taylor Green, Alison Green, Ainsley Earl, and Will Stockstill, all of Delhi.
Pallbearers are: Shawn Allen, Cody Fulford, Steven Franklin, Jason Franklin, Brady Cox, and Kevin Graham.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Ralph Donnell, Gary Carter, Colby Pepper, Jody Savage, Larry Cox, Kris Franklin and Darrell Franklin.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. till time of service on Saturday, August 19th , at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
