On Monday, December 10, 2018, Joy Annette Mulhearn, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away at the age of 71.
Annette was born September 1, 1947, in Delhi, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Bernice Roberts; nephew, Chad Heath; husband, Pete Mulhearn; and brother, Ray Roberts.
Survivors include her sisters, Carolyn Greer, Sue Cumpton (Bobby), Shirley Heath (Joe), Kay Roberts Hembree and Rita Roberts; daughter, Monica Hicks; grandchildren, Brooke and Doug Smith, Kristin and Jestin Hudgins, Chase Smith, Neville Whitaker, Harley Hicks and Izibella Hicks; great grandchildren, Rylee and Rhys, Analyn, Khristian and Paisley and Evangline, and another great grand on the way; stepchildren, Shelly Holloway and Butch Mulhearn; honorable mentions, Gardner Smith, Danny Ray Whitaker and Jordan Hicks; and numerous nieces, nephews and several cousins.
Joy Annette Mulhearn enjoyed spending most of her days with family. She had a love for all animals and enjoyed raising Rottweilers and watching horses on the farm, she even had a donkey named after her. She had a passion for music and playing the piano. Nana was the best cook, her dressing and chocolate pies will be missed as greatly as she will be. She considered herself one of the “Golden Girls” and had the personality to match. Annette was loving, understanding and “old school”, a true one of a kind lady.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 14, 2018, at Harvest Assembly of God at 100 Ole Highway 15, West Monroe, LA 71291.
