Joshua Colby McCarty

Funeral services celebrating the life of Joshua Colby McCarty, 33, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA., with Rev. Evan McFarland officiating.  Interment will follow at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.

Joshua was born on January 16, 1990, in Monroe, LA and passed away on May 18, 2023, in New Orleans, LA. 

Mr. McCarty was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Aaron “Mac” McCarty and Catherine McCarty as well as his maternal grandparents, John Day, and Mavis Day.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of Joshua are his father, Wayne McCarty, and wife Cheryl; mother, Linda McCarty; brother, Shelby McCarty, and wife Hannah; nephew, Jonah McCarty; nieces, Myla, and Eva McCarty; aunts, Diane Day, Lisa McManus and husband David, Linda Spillers and husband Keith and uncle, Paul McCarty.  He is also survived by numerous other cousins, relatives, and friends.

Honoring Mr. McCarty as pallbearers will be Adam Osbon, John Williams, Matthew McManus, Joseph Spillers, Jeremy Spillers and Cody Spillers.
