Joshua “Josh” Randall Thompson, 38, of Cameron, North Carolina, formerly of West Monroe, LA, passed away on November 21, 2017. He was born in Jackson, MS, on November 8, 1979, to Keith and Sue Thompson. He served his country in the United States Army. Josh was a great father and a Christian. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed coaching baseball, football and softball and making everyone laugh. Josh is preceded in death by his grandfather, Kenneth Crenshaw.
Josh is survived by his wife, Jennifer Renee Thompson; son, Aiden Thompson; daughter, Alana Grace Thompson; stepdaughter, Abbigail Chatman; parents, Keith and Sue Thompson; sister, Maegan Tipton and husband, Park; niece, Lyla Tipton; nephew, Mclaine Tipton; maternal grandmother, Udie Davis; paternal grandmother, Montine Oliver; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Brad Crenshaw, K.C. Crenshaw, Sandy Sanford, Nicholas Phillips, Michael Harrison, and Shane Marter.
Services Celebrating the Life of Josh will be held in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, on Monday, November 27, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Billy Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Interment will follow in the Smith Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.
