Joseph Allen Tompkins

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mr. Joseph Allen Tompkins, 78, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Jeffrey Kent officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.

Mr. Tompkins was born on November 11, 1944, in Monroe, LA and passed away on January 5, 2023, in West Monroe, LA.  Mr. Tompkins worked as an Operator for Angus Chemical in Sterlington, LA.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Tompkins; parents, Richard and Nizzera Luffey Tompkins; sister, Debbie Tompkins; and brother-in-law, Garry Gray.

Survivors include his son, Kevin Tompkins and wife Kristina; grandchildren, Ben and Caden Tompkins; sister, Zina Ford and husband, William; brother, Ricky Tompkins and wife, Mary; sister-in-law, Cheryl Gray; along with a host of nieces and nephews and his bulldog, Jazz.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Oliver, Ricky Tompkins, John Tompkins, Michael Worley, Craig Johnson, and Donny Furlow.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronald Worley, Donald Worley, Larry Worley, Randy Oliver, Garrett Oliver and Beau Oliver.
