Sunday November 4, 2007 at McGuire United Methodist Church with Rev. Michi Head officiating. Mr. White passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at his residence. He was born July 18, 1951 in Weston, West Virginia to Joan B. and the late Herbert B. White.Joe was a 1969 graduate of Lewis County High School in Weston, West Virginia, and a 1973 graduate of Marshall University, where he received a BBA degree in Accounting. He passed the CPA exam in 1976 and served over twenty years in Utility Regulation as a professional witness and in preparation and presentation of many Utility Rate Cases. Mr. White served three years as the Director of Utilities for the Kansas Corporation Commission.
Joe was Past Master of Orient Lodge #51 A.F. & A.M. in Topeka, Kansas, and a member of several other lodges, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Shrine, & Louise L. McGuire Chapter #4 Order of the Eastern Star. Joe was presented the “Outstanding Mason in Kansas” award. Joe served the board and was a mentor and coach for several youth organizations. He was awarded the Girl Scout Honor Pin, the Legion of Honor from the Order of DeMolay, and the Adult Leadership medal from the General Grand Council of Cryptic Masons. Joe was a member of McGuire United Methodist Church and was a certified Lay Leader.
Mr. White is survived b his wife of 25 years, Nannette E., and three daughters, Tiffiny Mila of Asheville, North Carolina, Lyndsey Marie and Leanna Elizabeth of West Monroe, Louisiana; mother, Joan B. Thompson of Ft. Myers, Florida; one brother, Lee A.
