Joseph A Blair

Graveside services for Joseph A. Blair, 62, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA, with Jimmy Wayne Williams, Jr. officiating. 

Joe was born March 14, 1961, in Erie, PA, and passed away February 23, 2024, in Jackson, MS. 

Joe served in many different roles to many different people. He was a Police Officer, Firefighter, and a Soldier in the Army. If you had asked Joe what his favorite and most important role was, he would have said, being a dad. His greatest desire was to be the absolute best dad he could be. If you ask anyone who knew Joe, they will tell you he greatly succeeded in that desire. 

Joe was the type of person to always have a smile on his face and a joke for everyone he met. Joe loved nothing more than to serve people in whatever capacity he could. Whether it was a word or a deed, he truly loved helping people. To know Joe was to love him, and he will be deeply missed by all who did. 

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Donald Blair. 

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Kay; son, Christopher; siblings, Don (Minna), Dennis, Donna, and Denise; and his loving partner in life, Kathy. 

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Walking in the Sun Rescue.
