Funeral Services for Joseph “Joe” Bernard Cappo, Jr., 70, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday, December 24, 2013 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Fr. James Dominic, Bro. Ted Kinchen, Bro. Larry Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe.
Joe was born on January 7, 1943 and went to be with his Savior peacefully surrounded by his family on December 21, 2013. He was a member of St. Paschal Catholic Church. Mr. Cappo worked as a produce manager at Safeway until his retirement. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Jerry McCaa Cappo; daughters, Tammi Cappo Prichard, Teri Jo Cappo Powell and Tanya Cappo Brittain; four grandchildren, Lindsay Blair Prichard, Leslea Brooke Prichard, Jade Whitney Powell and Joseph Connor Brittain; great-grandchildren, Phoenix Cole Stamey and Caroline Jolea Stamey; brother, Dominic Cappo; sister, Angie Greenwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Monday, December 23, 2013 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Francis Downtown Hospital, Homehealth, Primecare, Dr. Charles Morgan, Dr. Barry Weinberger, and Dr. Mark Napoli for the great care and compassion over the years given to Mr. Cappo.
