Duke had the heart of a Tiger, but those that knew him best described him as gentle and caring. He loved Neville Tiger football and would swear there will never be a greater team than the 2009 State Champs. He was a fierce competitor and loyal friend. He was never hesitant to protect those he loved. Duke was a lover of hunting, fishing, and dogs. He enjoyed listening to music and spending time with friends. Duke was humble and witty. His smile could light up a room and his laughter was infectious. He was a believer in Christ, we find comfort knowing he is resting in heavenly peace.
When you think of Duke, celebrate the good memories you have of him. Remember, life is fragile, short and should be lived to the fullest.
Due to the circumstances regarding covid-19, his family is remembering him via phone calls, texts and social media. A celebration of Duke’s life will be held at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in his name to Neville High School Strength & Conditioning Program, 600 Forsythe Ave. Monroe, LA. 71201.
