Funeral services for Johnny Ray Eppinette, 61, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 25, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Bodie Spicer and Rev. Charles Price officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Eppinette was born October 21, 1956, in Monroe, LA, and passed away Friday, September 21, 2018, at St. Francis Medical Center. He was a retired mechanic with Shelton’s Automotive. Mr. Eppinette enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, drag racing, and hanging with friends on the back porch.
Mr. Eppinette was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Timothy and Sally Johnson Eppinette; son, Joseph David Eppinette; and sister, Teresa Oliver.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Greer Eppinette; daughter and son-in-law, Sally Howell and husband Noel D. III; grandchildren, Noel D. Howell IV and Parker Jo Howell; sisters, Voncille Bennett, Carolyn Forbis and husband Bill, Linda Tarver and husband Paul, Nell Derry and husband Robert, Lela Hinkie and husband Jan; brothers, Glen “Sonny” Eppinette and wife Nettie, and Bobby Eppinette and wife Teresa; sister-in-law, Rhonda Blakely and husband Ricky; brothers-in-law, Jeff Greer and wife Michelle, David Greer and wife Karyn, and Jimmy Oliver; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Mike Pace, Jason Poland, Clay Pullig, Danny Lockwood, Randy Phillips, Jim Eppinette, Russ Morrow, Jimmy Fuller, and Brady Tevy. Honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Beach, Gus Borde, and Joe Hebert.
