Johnny Lee HarveyServices for John Harvey Sr., 84, of Swartz, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 19, 2014 at Loch Arbor Baptist Church in Swartz. The Reverend William Sikes will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Loch Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA.Mr. Harvey was born April 14, 1930 in Ouachita Parish. He passed away peacefully in his home on December 16, 2014. He retired from Breck Construction after many years of working as a laborer and heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Ruth Harvey.He was a member of Loch Arbor Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Swartz Community. He loved bluegrass music and was a very accomplished musician. He had many hobbies such as fishing and gardening, but those who knew him well knew that he had a special passion for deer hunting.Along with many friends and extended family members, Mr. Harvey is survived by his children; daughters, Yolanda Ferguson and her husband Scott; Kim Heinen; two sons, Johnny Harvey Jr. and his wife GiGi, and Tommy Harvey and wife Rachel; a sister in law and friend, Joy Spielman.
